Chapter 2: The Charm of New City!
Aryan embarked on his inaugural journey to the city of his
dreams, Pune. After completing an extended apprenticeship in his hometown of
Jaipur, the 27-year-old tech enthusiast was ready to pursue his passion for IT.
Years of anticipation had led him to this moment. Aryan's heart raced as he
stepped off the plane in Pune. He had dreamed of this moment for years, and now
it was finally here. He was finally in his dream city, about to start his dream
job at BugWares India.
Excitement, happiness, and nerves coursed through Aryan. The
prospect of meeting new teammates, and experiencing a new office environment
and city, filled him with curiosity and anticipation. Yet, a tinge of sadness
lingered as he missed his former colleagues—Tirtha, Dhyana, and Animesh—along
with his cherished memories of IT-Tech Inc. and his beloved, native city,
Jaipur.
"Welcome to Pune, and welcome to BugWares, Aryan!". Aryan's
gaze fixated on the signboard adorning the entrance of his new workplace as he
made his way inside. A broad smile graced his face. He was about to capture the
moment with a selfie when the resonant sound of lively music, thunderous
applause, and an authoritative voice filled the air. "Friends, please give
a warm welcome to our newest family member, Mr. Aryan Rathod!" Aryan
turned to see who introduced him. Vivek Kolhatkar, the boss was a tall,
imposing man with a booming voice. He shook Aryan's hand vigorously and
welcomed him to the company. Aryan was led to his new office, which was located
on the top floor of the company's headquarters, on the west side corner, giving
him a gazing view of the city streets, a banyan tree, and a perfect sunset in
the evening!
The office was spacious and modern, with a large window that
overlooked the city skyline. Aryan's desk was already set up, with his
nameplate, a large screen attached to his lapto, and a stack of papers, as a
part of joining formalities. "This is going to be your home away from
home, Make yourself comfortable." Vivek said. Aryan thanked the boss and
settled into his new office. He took a deep breath and looked around. He
couldn't believe he was here. He was living his dream. The exciting very first
day at work ends. In between all his team members, colleagues from HR, Finance
and other department came to see and welcome him. It was perfect first workday,
slightly above his expectations. Dhanasree had heled him finding a nice house
on the rent, located near to his office. Aaryan heads towards a house, summarizing
the day event by event in his mind. He was a little extra happy soul that day,
and for a moment he forgot the shadow, the ghastly shadow chasing him for about
two and a half year now!
"Welcome the most livable city of India, Mr. Rathod!"
A gentle yet seasoned voice brought forth a wide smile on
Aryan's face. "Allow me to introduce my daughter, Ruzal," Mr. Mohan
stated proudly. Aryan had secured a room in Mr. Mohan's 3 floor independent
house, on the top floor. It was indeed a convenient location near his
workplace. As Aaryan started settling his luggage and the other household
items, Ruzal remained by his side, helping in settling in. With her guidance,
Aryan swiftly organized his belongings. They later ventured to a local store to
purchase essentials, followed by a delightful dinner at Ruzal's home, a quick
welcome dinner, perhaps. Aryan felt deeply touched by the warm hospitality
extended by Vivek, Dhanasree, Karthik and Thiru at office, Mohan uncle and
Ruzal at his new house.
Tired Aaryan sat on his bed, gazed through the dark stary night!
There was not shadow around, no fear of it even. A peaceful, uninterrupted sleep
for Aaryan in many months.
